New Accounts
New accounts can be opened most easily if you prepay with your initial order and send us a signed copy of the Ten Speed Press credit application. For trade and reseller accounts, please call our Order Department at (800) 841-2665. When calling, please have your account number (or SAN), ISBN(s), and invoice or purchase order ready. Representatives are available weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST.
EDI/Pubnet: Pubnet is an electronic ordering service enhanced with Internet technologies, fast-response ordering, and other capabilities. Ten Speed Press uses Pubnet for electronic order processing with college bookstores and customers that do not use traditional electronic ordering methods but do have a Standard Account Number (SAN).
For larger retail chains and other major customers that require fast order processing and timely responses, Ten Speed uses the traditional Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processing via a Value Added Network (VAN). Ten Speed currently uses ICCNET as its VAN and can work with other VANs that communicate with ICC. Both Pubnet and EDI streamline the ordering process and allow for better customer service.

Ten Speed offers discounts depending on type of purchaser. We are happy to provide a discount schedule. Please contact the appropriate person from our U.S. Sales Contacts list.
Bookstore Discounts
Trade Retail Discount Schedule
1-14 copies: 20%
1-14 copies prepaid: 40% if payment is sent with order
15+ copies: 45%
All books can be combined for discount regardless of ISBN prefix.
Posters do not combine with books for discount. For bulk poster orders, please call Special Sales at (800) 841-2665 ext. 3024 for pricing, minimums, and discounts.
Bookstore Shipping
Independent trade bookstore accounts receive free freight. Back-order shipments will be consolidated to a 5-copy minimum. Free-freight shipments are sent via UPS Ground. We ship the least expensive way available unless you specify otherwise on your order. Expedited shipping is available upon request. Freight will be FOB Berkeley, California, or the printer nearest you. Drop-ship orders are subject to a fee of up to $4.00 per address. If proof of delivery is required for payment of our invoice, please say so on your order. Books and posters ship separately, with separate shipping charges.
Posters
Posters will be shipped in plastic tubes (P-tubes) unless otherwise specified. For bulk orders, posters may be individually rolled and packed in clear, soft plastic sleeves. Please call Special Sales at (800) 841-2665 ext. 3024.
Most of our 24 x 36 posters are available with 5mm of clear, durable plastic laminate for an additional $20.00 per poster. Please call (800) 841-2665 ext. 3500 for availability of laminated posters; not all are laminated and some are laminated only on a limited basis. Poster sizes are approximate; actual trim sizes may vary.
Bookstore Return Policy
Ten Speed Press Warehouse, 1111 Eighth Street, Berkeley, CA 94710. Any book in print may be returned without permission freight prepaid in saleable condition with proper documentation for full credit after 120 days from invoice date. Books returned without proper documentation will be credited at a 50% discount. Credit for returns will be posted to your account balance or against future purchases. There are no cash refunds.
All annuals and calendars must be returned no later than three months after the succeeding edition is published. The 2006 edition of What Color Is Your Parachute? must be returned no later than January 1, 2007.
Posters are sold on a non-returnable basis. If you receive a damaged poster we will replace it; call Customer Service at (800) 841-2665.
Other Rules of the Road
All prices and delivery dates are subject to change without notice (the Publisher’s Lament).
We will backorder only new titles and those backlist books that we expect to have back in stock within 90 days.
Please examine our shipping documents and shipments carefully and report any discrepancies within 30 days.
